Murphy S. Klasing
Mr. Klasing has a wide range of trial and appellate experience successfully handling numerous litigation matters including commercial litigation, government contracts litigation, personal injury defense, employment litigation and arbitration, banking, construction litigation, premises liability, white collar crime, and toxic tort defense. He has handled arbitrations before the AAA and the London Court of International Arbitration where in 2010 he obtained a $38m verdict for Tamimi Global Company, Ltd. against Kellogg Brown & Root Services, Inc. He has extensive courtroom experience having tried over 75 jury trials in numerous courts throughout the state of Texas, including courts in Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery, Galveston, Dallas, Tarrant, Lamar, Cooke, Travis, Williamson, Rusk, Anderson, Bexar and Jefferson counties. He has appeared in over 35 Counties in Texas for numerous nationally based clients and handled matters in Ohio, California, Pennsylvania, Louisiana and West Virginia.
Mr. Klasing was recognized as a Texas Rising Star by Texas Law & Politics Magazine for 2005, 2006 and 2007 and has been an AV-rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell since 2004. He has been sought after as a public speaker on various legal issues including employee theft, fair debt collection, property management issues and construction litigation. He has appeared on 48 Hours and The Dr. Phil Show and has been interviewed by The Houston Chronicle and National publications including USA Today on matters related to cases he has handled.
Mr. Klasing is a member of the Alliance Defense Fund, on the Stratford Young Life Committee and an active volunteer, committeeman and assistant captain for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Mr. Klasing began his career spending three years at the Harris County District Attorney's Office as an Assistant District attorney. Prior to joining Ogden, Gibson, Broocks, Longoria & Hall, LLP, Mr. Klasing was a partner of McGinnis, Lochridge & Kilgore, LLP in Houston, Texas. Mr. Klasing is the author of "How Did That Accounting Clerk Afford a Mercedes?"
